Employment of engineers is projected to grow 4% through 2024, adding about 65,000 new jobs. Among engineering specialties, several are projected to grow even faster, including environmental engineers (12.4 %) and civil engineers (8.4 %). Additionally, the industry will see about a 5% increase in construction managers through 2024.
