Chris Schoettelkotte founded Manhattan Resources in 1999 after serving in various leadership positions with Union Pacific, Olsten Corporation, and Corporate Express. As a result of his background in business strategy, integration, high-performance team development, and business turnarounds, Chris is uniquely prepared to look at executive search differently. This experience applies to both corporate and private equity environments.
Chris determined from the beginning that the value proposition in the search industry isn’t strong enough or aligned properly with the needs of the client. For this reason, building and refining a robust and transparent search process that enables clients to make strategic hiring decisions confidently is his primary focus.
Chris believes that helping client’s build high-performance teams is the mission of Manhattan Resources. That is why his team works with clients to understand their business and the specific needs of their team. The company also works closely with clients to fill their intellectual capital needs while carefully keeping in mind the individual cultures.
Chris has a B.A. in Business from Western Illinois University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business. In addition, he is the Boy’s Varsity Basketball Coach at St. Francis Episcopal School in Houston, where he resides with his wife Anna and their four children.
