Allison Piper

Executive Consultant

Allison Piper joined Manhattan Resources in 2016 after a 20-year career in environmental and occupational health consulting and executive management in retail electricity and natural gas. Her background in chemical plants and refineries as well as in strategy and operations uniquely positions her to understand complex personnel needs and opportunities. Allison has extensive start-up, corporate management, and integrations experience. This expertise has proven highly valuable as she works with clients to assess their leadership needs and design roles for the key players they need to achieve their corporate objectives.

Before joining Manhattan Resources in 2016 as President, Allison served as the Chief Operating Officer for Spark Energy, Inc., (NASDAQ: SPKE), responsible for customer experience management and operational strategy and execution including oversight of the information technology, customer interaction centers, and billing & transaction management functions. Allison’s prior leadership experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at StarTex Power, a privately held retail electricity company that sold to Constellation Energy in May 2011.

Allison serves on the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) Board of Directors and is the 2017 President of that organization. Also, Allison was a founding member and 2015 chair of the GCPA’s emPOWERing Women Committee, whose purpose is providing mentoring, networking and scholarship opportunities for women in the energy industry. Allison is a member of the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA) and was a certified customer experience professional (CCXP).

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University, a Master’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
