Executive recruitment firm Manhattan Resources, a Houston-based group specializing in building high performance teams, has been named by Forbes to its list of America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms for 2018 for the second consecutive year.
Manhattan Resources CEO Chris Schoettelkotte says, “It really is an honor to be named to the Forbes’ list of Best Executive Recruiting Firms in the nation for the second year running. We are excited to be included on this year’s list and proud of our recruiters and research analysts who made this happen. Our mission at Manhattan Resources is to help our clients achieve their objectives by building high-performance teams. We take a partnership approach to transparency and engagement in executive search. This makes it possible for us to make a long-lasting positive contribution to our clients’ organizations.”
Executive Recruitment Firm Committed to Leading Positive Change
Manhattan Resources, founded in 1999, is an executive recruitment firm with deep roots in energy, petrochemicals, and the oil and gas industries. The company’s process, ability to seek out and understand the needs of its customers and an intense focus on its clients’ objectives enable it to build world-class performance teams for its clients around the country.
Founder Schoettelkotte started the company with a pledge to honor his professional commitments first and offer real value to his clients. Consequently, this meant re-imagining the search process to add transparency and lasting results.
“Our clients deserve a transparent search strategy and process,” Schoettelkotte said. “I started this company with that goal in mind, and it is still the heart of our business today. This transparency ensures accountability through the process and minimizes surprises, as our goal is to find the right person to make the company’s goals a reality. Therefore, our extended placement guarantee is a direct outcome of our ability to stand behind our results.”
Rapid Growth with a Difference Defines this Executive Recruitment Firm
An extensive and diverse range of industry capabilities is a hallmark of Manhattan Resources. The executive recruitment firm expanded its functional expertise because of the comprehensive needs associated with the oil industry. Due to this diversity of experience, today its practices have greatly expanded across a host of diversified industries. Manhattan Resources subsequently works in power and utilities, manufacturing and distribution, finance and accounting, engineering and construction, legal, and nonprofits. And of course, it continues its robust practice in oil and gas, and petrochemicals and refining.
“As a retained firm, we take a hands-on approach. Our goal is to find the perfect fit culturally, for long-term growth and strategic development. We are our client’s partner in the process. Our guarantee ensures that partnership,” said Schoettelkotte. “It is a winning formula that leads to long-lasting relationships.”
Selection Criteria for the Recruiting Firms
Forbes partnered with the analytics firm Statista to compile two lists of America’s best-recruiting firms. The first ranks 250 professional search firms that place employees in roles with less than $100,000 in annual income. The second ranks 250 executive search firms that place executives in positions with at least $100,000 in annual pay.
To begin the process, Statista consulted with trade organizations and company databases to find 4,000 recruiters in two categories. Then, thousands of recruiters, professionals, and HR managers then took an online survey. Each person surveyed recommended up to 10 recruiting firms (excluding their own) with the end result of 20,000 recommendations. In conclusion, the companies with the most recommendations ranked highest and resulted in the top 250.
